West End Experience: My Fair Lady
Straight from the West End for the second year running, Lisa Donmall returns to teach us more excerpts of song and dance from London’s theatre land. This year ‘My Fair Lady’s’ ‘With a Little Bit of Luck’ and ‘Get Me To The Church On Time’. For Ages 9 yrs and above...all abilities welcome as we will be singing , acting, dancing and moving! Parents will be invited to see the work in progress at the end of the session.

West End Experience: Sweet Charity
Another ‘back by popular demand’ from Lisa Donmall, here again to teach us excerpts from ‘Sweet Charity’s’ ‘Theres Gotta Be Something Better Than This’ and ‘The Rhythm Of Life’. This workshop will be a great deal of fun and the children will come away with a real feel for the musical and what it is like to perform this fabulous choreography straight from the West End!

Lisa trained at Bridget Espinosa’s London Studio Centre, Martha Graham and the Alvin Ailey School, New York. Credits include Chicago, The Producers, Cats, My Fair Lady, Anything Goes, Sweet Charity and La Traviata. Lisa teaches Matt Mattox and tap and musical theatre workshops at Millennium Dance 2000, tap at Urdang Academy and jazz at London Studio Centre.

Take a Line for a Walk: a visual arts workshop for young people with Nicola Evans
This two day event offers young artists to create textile hangings inspired by the local environment. Participants will be introduced to a variety of printing and embroidery techniques, and encouraged to share their experiences of our rural location making a textile hanging. The two day event welcomes anyone from 11+ for one or both days activities won’t repeat. The workshop will culminate on the evening of the second day with a small exhibition of the young peoples work.

Urban Playground, a free running workshop for young people
A two hour Parkour workshop for 13 to 18 year olds. Parkour is an extreme sport in which the urban landscape is used to practise extraordinary gymnastic feats. Whilst this is primarily an urban activity, it can be practised anywhere and Steyning Festival is proud to bring this art form to a rural location.Led by UK-leading, Brighton-based Prodigal Theatre, that works in collaboration with Parkour originators Charles Perrier and Malik Diouf and their organisation Gravity Style, creating dynamic choreographies exploring the relationship between the human body and the built environment redefining the audience’s vision of home.

Learn to tap dance with Nicky Dewdney
An adult tap class for those of you who have never tap danced before and have always wanted to learn or who maybe danced years ago when you were children. This will be a fun experience and we will move – laugh – and learn how to ‘TAP TAP TAP your troubles away’! You’ll love it!
Nicky has had an extensive West End career and has danced and sung in various productions and musicals from ‘42nd Street’ at Drury Lane to her last musical ‘Crazy For You’ at the Prince Edward.

Funky Tap Masterclass with Jason Di Mascio
A masterclass with a difference, teaching you tap dance with a funky and contemporary feel. This class is for the more experienced tapper or grade 5- 6 and above. A great opportunity to be taught by this vastly experienced dancer, teacher and examiner.
An original cast member on many shows, including ‘Ziegfel’, ‘Anything Goes’ ‘Me & My Girl’ and ‘Crazy For You’. Whilst performing in these, he also made several appearances on television, most notably the Royal Variety and Olivier Award shows, and has even made an appearance as a tap expert for Granada TV
