Animal Stories – Creative Writing Workshop with Helen Peters
What’s it about?
An inspiring writing workshop for children aged 7+ led by Helen Peters, author of the ‘Jasmine Green Animal Rescue’ series. What animal would you like to rescue? Where might you find it? Why does it need rescuing? And what if you have to carry out the rescue secretly?
In this fun, interactive writing workshop, we will discuss lots of possible answers to these questions and more, before you write the opening of your own animal rescue story. We’ll look at how to create an effective opening, what makes a great main character, and how to bring the setting to life, as well as ways to keep the reader hooked.
