Concert in aid of the Friends of Steyning Parish Church
What’s it about?
Dan Shilladay and Brian Sawyer
A concert featuring rarely heard music by Schubert, Bach and Rebecca Clarke; Dan Shilladay on viola, accompanied by Brian Sawyer.
Dan Shilladay, who is Principal Viola of the Hanover Band, and Brian Sawyer, the popular, award-winning organist of Steyning Parish Church, team up to present a brief, unusual concert. The main work is Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata and there will be a 1917 work by Rebecca Clarke and one of the Bach unaccompanied Suites.
Dan has also worked with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Britten Sinfonia and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. This promises to be an exciting and very varied musical experience.
