Global Culture Day

What’s it about?

Sunday 26th May sees Steyning Festival embrace the spirit of global culture with a fun afternoon of family activities leading into our African Night Fever evening with Kanda Bongo Man. Join a West African Djembe Drumming workshop, led by Ali Bangura and Ebou Touray of African Night Fever, and learn the rhythms and chant the melodies of West Africa.

We’ll have 3 Djembe workshop sessions from 2pm onwards, with 30 drums available in each session – dynamic fun for the whole family!

Have a go at traditional African crafts with easy workshops led by Chanctonbury Woodcraft Folk

Sample delicious Afro-Caribbean snacks from our vendors, or
chill with a drink from the bar to the tunes of Offcut Audio, Steyning’s own reggae sound system.
