Learn how to save a life – a demonstration of how to give CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) Would you like to have the skills to help someone who has suddenly stopped breathing? Do you know how to use a defibrillator?
Steyning Area First Responders (SAFeR), a local charity which supports a team of First Responders and provides a network of public access defibrillators, will be offering a hands-on demonstration in life saving techniques.
The demonstration is free, and provides the opportunity to practise the skills you learn. As numbers are limited prior booking is needed.
SAFeR’s volunteer responders are fully trained by the South East Coast Ambulance Service – SECAmb. They provide an essential service supporting the Ambulance Service in the local community, and are often able to get to an emergency before the ambulance arrives. Every year SAFeR responders attend numerous falls, strokes, heart attacks and other medical emergencies in and around the Steyning area.
