Manga Workshop with Chie Kutsuwada (Beginners’ session)

What’s it about?

Chie Kutsuwada is a Japanese manga artist based in Brighton. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in London, she is the co-creator of the Carnegie-shortlisted novel Tsunami Girl, and its sequel 100 Tales from the Tokyo Ghost Cafe, plus several ‘How To Draw Manga’ books, and many manga works. She regularly leads manga workshops at institutions across the country, including the British Library, the British Museum and various schools.

BEGINNER’S SESSION:
Join Japanese Manga artist and illustrator Chie Kutsuwada for an interactive drawing workshop. Learn about the history of manga and why it’s so unique before you have a go at creating your own manga-inspired character in a step-by-step session with Chie.

Books will be on sale before/ after the event and there will be an opportunity to get books signed at the end
