Parkour For Seniors with Jackie Flowers-Leek
What’s it about?
Why Parkour? Well, we all need to aspire to something, don’t we?
No, we are not going to somersault off walls and run across rooftops!
But Parkour is simply using the built environment, in this case our adult playground,
as an obstacle course to improve strength and flexibility, balance and spatial
awareness.
So, we use those skills of running, jumping, balancing, climbing, stretching,
core strengthening and connecting mind and body to build confidence
mentally and physically.
All this enables a sense of freedom and being in control which is very empowering,
FUN, and the hour-long sessions once a week are free!
