The Future of Farming. “Driving productivity and profitability in a sustainable way”
What’s it about?
Brian Richardson Anthony Curwen Jeremy Kerswell
With 71% of UK land taken up by agriculture, farmers are the most important stewards of our
environment. Without them, it will be impossible to meet the UK’s nature and climate goals. Right
now in the UK, we are at a critical time both for the future of agriculture and the health of the
environment. This evening, three UK experts in modern agriculture will discuss this vital topic.
Brian Richardson, UK Head of Agriculture Virgin Money and Anthony Curwen, Vice chair of the
Nature Friendly Farming Network England Steering Group will talk about how farmers can produce
affordable and healthy food, look after the environment and, at the same time, make a decent living.
The evening will be introduced and chaired by Jeremy Kerswell, Principal of Plumpton College.
Note: Anthony Curwen is replacing Martin Lines who is indisposed.
