Amanda Craig is an award-winning novelist, critic, journalist and short story writer. Her novels, A Vicious Circle, In a Dark Wood, Hearts and Minds, and most recently The Lie of the Land, are distinctive for their wit, their wicked observation of character and their potent mix of dark honesty and warmth. "I loved the The Lie of the Land. A panoramic, superbly-plotted novel about the ways we live now” Matt Haig.

Annabelle Thorpe is a travel writer for The Times, and former deputy travel editor of The Observer. Annabelle’s debut novel, The People We Were Before, was set in Croatia during the Balkan War of Independence and her new novel, What Lies Within, is set in Marrakech and Doha.
