Rising Star Maria Marchant returns for her third appearance in the Steyning Festival having released her debut CD 'Echoes of Land & Sea' on SOMM Recordings to critical acclaim in 2017, gaining 5 stars on Classical Ear and 4 stars in the BBC Music Magazine and the Observer. Maria will play works by Schubert/Liszt and John Ireland including the new solo piano version of Ireland's Sea Fever, written for Maria by acclaimed baritone and composer Roderick Williams OBE. The programme will also feature works by Debussy to mark the anniversary and the world premiere of a new work by Mike Abrams.
