Wiston House is not normally open to the public. This is a wonderful opportunity see some of the house that owner Sir Thomas Sherley would have known 400 years ago. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth I in 1573 and his raised social status soon had him thinking about building a new home. The story of his fall from grace is a fascinating one. As a Member of Parliament for Steyning, in 1604 he even played a role in the constitutional history of England. The part the later owners played in the architectural history of Wiston House will be explained.

Your ticket includes entry to the Wiston Wonders event.

With many thanks for the support of Wilton Park.
