Would you know what to do if you witnessed a cardiac arrest? Steyning Area First Responders aim to familiarise as many people as they can with basic life support skills. You will be shown how to carry out effective chest compressions on a manikin and learn how to use a defibrillator. Most cardiac arrests happen outside a hospital setting. With a simple, straightforward plan and practice, you could help increase the survival rate of only 10%, in the South East Coast Ambulance area.
Requires attendees to be able to kneel on the floor to practice chest compressions.
