In this gentle, bittersweet Irish comedy drama, a writer torn between promoting his new book and his responsibilities as his mother’s carer, finds himself hosting his friends’ mums for the weekend. While on his resulting road to self-discovery, and in an Ireland unshackling itself from tradition, the novelist struggles with the chaos caused by his ex-partner and the four eccentric older women. You will relate to and enjoy the observational wit, satire and dialogue from Thornton’s sharp and perceptive script.
