The inside track on what is happening internationally in the world of biodiversity and the importance of local representation. Professor Dame Eleanor Jane Milner-Gulland is a former pupil of Steyning Grammar School and Professor of Biodiversity at Oxford University. She represents the UK on many international committees concerned with Climate Change and Biodiversity and is also Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Conservation Science. At the last Festival, Dame EJ gave an excellent, well received talk on her conservation work saving the Saiga Antelope from extinction. Now she’s back to talk about how local people should have their say on nature.
