Join in an afternoon packed with fun science activities for all the family from noon-4pm
at 4.30pm there will be a free talk in the Big Top “AI – What is it all about?” with Professor Thomas Nowotny (University of Sussex)

During the afternoon we’ll have a planetarium and a telescope to look safely at the sun with Worthing Astronomers.  Find out about Nature Sense’s Citizen Science projects monitoring the natural environment around Steyning. Stand in front of a thermal imaging camera to see how the temperature varies across your face and body. We’ll ask Rampion Wind Energy and Sussex Dolphin Project what is happening under the sea.

Plus, we’ll build LED torches and electric circuits with the Institute of Engineering and Technology and a buckyball with the Creative Science Centre. We’ll find out about diabetes research ‘From Sugar Cubes to Microgravity’ and ask what’s the hype about Artificial Intelligence?

All activities free except for the planetarium show: “Journey to the Stars” which is £5 per person.  The show will cover the planets, stars, galaxies and include the recent Artemis II Moon mission.
