Always a highlight of Steyning Festival, four one-act, one-hour plays by local writers, directed and acted by local professional performers in four different settings around Steyning.
‘Bury the Wren’ by Rachel Mae Brady: on the twentieth anniversary of her mother’s death, a woman finds herself haunted not only by the dead but by the life she has not yet lived.
‘I Do’ by Deborah McMahon: a couple revisit the church where they married. Would they still say, ‘I do’?
‘Twinning Steyning’ by Mark Tournoff: a couple attempting to find a twinning location for Steyning meet some funny and entertaining challenges.
‘Shadow Play’ by Louise Monaghan: a moving drama about a young child’s bravery and insight in the aftermath of family tragedy.
Tickets include lunch, tea and a Q & A session with the authors at the end. Meet outside West’s Printing Works on Elm Grove Lane, just behind Truffles. (W3W ///vipers.lobby.patching). You will be met and guided between venues. Early booking recommended. Repeated on Monday. Please contact us to discuss dietary requirements.
